Fit Test Round #2

In three weeks, here's my improvement.

This is 50 seconds on with 10 seconds rest between exercises.

1) Squat Jumps 1st = 28, now = 33
2) Push ups 1st = 22, now = 32
3) Burpees 1st = 12, now = 14
4) High Knees 1st = 124, now = 168
5) Switch Lunges 1st = 24, now 34
6) Tuck Jumps 1st = 24, now 28
7) Tricep Dips 1st = 19, now 28
8) Straight Abs 1st = 15, now 20

I'm seeing around a 5 to 7 lb loss.

I'm running at 1:30 minutes per mile faster than this time last year.

I'm very pleased.

Long run and a weekend of yard work

Saturday was spent doing about 8 hours worth of yard work.

Sunday, Jessica and I did our long run. We ended up doing 5.02 miles in 51 minutes.

We averaged 10:15 per mile, running 6 and walking 1 minute.

Then we went back to yard work and spent the rest of the day digging out tree roots and planting new plants.

I'm very sunburned, but I'm not nearly as sore as I thought I would be. I'm just tired feeling.

Two workouts during the week! Woohoo!

Sadly, it's Thursday and I'm just now doing my second work out during this week.

I have to thank my hubby though. I came home from teaching my night classes and he decided he was going to work out, so I did too.

I did one of the pyramid workouts and then 4 rounds of an ab extra workout.

I did do one of the Bodyrock pyramid work outs for 46:27.

It was brutal.

Recovery Run

I tried to take the dog running with me.... what a disaster.

I did 2.85 miles in 31:47. I had to walk the hills for the dog... and I'm not lying. :-) Poor elderly pooch.

I came back and did two Body Rock workouts. Yikes!

Long run

This was Easter weekend, so we headed to my parents for Easter.

I took off on Saturday and did 4.66 miles in 47:45 followed by close to a mile walk with the pooch.

I tried to do a body rock, but I was gassed!

Totally spent

Run: 4.37 miles in 45:55. This was not as fast as I wanted, but there was a lot of wind.

I averaged 10:31 per mile, and my running pace was about 9:45 per mile.

Body Rock: February's 30 day challenge: Day 5

Warm up: (4 sets each)

1) 15 weighted squats
2) 15 plank knee tucks (30 total)
3) 15 shoulder presses (I did 5 shoulder presses and 10 bicep curls because I'm sore)
4) 15 Bent over rows.

The 4 sets of each took me 10:30.


8 sets of 50 on/10 rest of jump rope (I didn't count my reps)

Cool down: (4 sets)
1) 15 weighted squats
2) 15 push ups (I had to drop to my knees after the first set)
3) 15 reverse pull ups

The 4 sets of each took me 7:39.

Now for a big cup of coffee to make it through the rest of my day.
